"Victoria" grew up in Pakistan as a Christian. As a minority in a Muslim country, she was called "paleed", "despicable", by the other children. Twice she almost died for her faith. But this is not a story of anger and hate, but love and forgiveness. How could a person who experienced persecution come to forgive and love her persecutors? God is able to use the most unpretentious, unassuming human being to make his love known. "Victoria" is proof of that. There is a Study Guide for The Despicable Missionary, a six session guide focused on forgiving when forgiveness is hard.

As God's chosen people, the Jews were to obey all that he commanded, and in so doing, glorify his name to all the world; but they would not. Instead they shamed his name by their wicked disobedience. No matter how many times God reached out his hand of mercy toward them, revealing more of his goodness and love, they would once again turn a blind eye to him, stopping their ears, and refusing to hear or obey him. They honored him with their lips, while their hearts were far from him. Is it any wonder God tired of offering himself to them?

Take a 40-day journey to meet brothers and sisters who share in the sufferings of Christ. When Faith Is Forbidden takes you to meet a Chinese Christian woman who called six months in prison "a wonderful time", an Iraqi pastor and his wife just eight days after assassins' bullets ripped into his flesh, and others from our spiritual family who've suffered greatly for wearing the name of Christ. Each stop on this 40-day journey includes inspiration and encouragement through the story of a persecuted believer.

Following His purpose in covenant for 27 years!

In 30 minutes, a good, open-air preacher can reach more unsaved people than the average church does in a year. If you’re ready for something more exhilarating than skydiving, arguably more scary, and infinitely more productive, try preaching the gospel in public. For nearly 50 years, Ray Comfort has preached the gospel in the open air and witnessed one-to-one to thousands.

God places his people strategically throughout history, and he has placed you here for this moment. Minutes before, the prosecutor had made his opening statement projecting only hatred and contempt toward my father, a missionary charged with rebellion. The police had arrested him the night before by covertly setting a trap. The press had already shamed and ridiculed him nationally and internationally, proclaiming his guilt on headline news before the hearing had even begun. He could face the trial (and be charged with 15 years or more in prison if she declared him guilty), or leave Colombia forever.

Duane Elmer asked people around the world how they felt about Western missionaries. The response? "Missionaries could be more effective if they did not think they were better than us". The last thing we want to do in cross-cultural ministry is to offend people in other cultures. Unfortunately, all too often and even though we don't mean it, our actions communicate superiority, paternalism, imperialism, and arrogance.

This book addresses a dilemma all who want to be faithful member missionaries face, especially those preparing to serve full-time: “How do I share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others in a comfortable and natural way?” In traditional, Church-supported missionary training centers, those who have been called to serve are generously and ably taught what to say.
