The Old Testament book of Psalms is a beautiful and deeply heartfelt collection of poetry, much of which was written by King David. Originally intended to be sung, these personal expressions of faith in God encompass the full gamut of human emotions, from utter despair to exuberant praise.

The book of Revelation, the Apostle John's heavenly vision while on the island of Patmos, clearly depicts Jesus as King of Kings, Lord of Lords, and the Beginning and the End of all things forever. This final book of the New Testament includes God's exhortations to the seven Churches in Asia, multiple apocalyptic visions, and finally the victorious second coming of Jesus.

The New Testament Epistles, many of which were written by the Apostle Paul, were letters of encouragement and instruction sent to the earliest believers in Jesus.
