As DNA testing and analysis have grown in prominence to address questions of identity and origin, a common curiosity has risen for Latter-day Saints: Could DNA testing prove the historicity of the Book of Mormon? After all, if Lehi and his family traveled from Jerusalem and established civilizations in the Americas, the DNA should show that, right? Of course, the answer is not so simple. In this book, forensic and genetic experts Dr. John M. Butler and Dr. Ugo A. Perego shed fascinating light on just what DNA can—and can't—tell us about the Book of Mormon and its peoples.

Though we may not know their names or tell tales of their outstanding feats, there are countless quiet, humble disciples in the scriptures who faithfully found their place in the fold of God even when their contributions went unnoticed by those around them. As we start to see the impact of the unnamed scripture heroes, we can also better recognize the significance of the seemingly small contributions each of us can make to building God's kingdom on earth.

Throughout His life, the Savior showed an unlimited capacity for compassion as He blessed, lifted, and healed people wherever He went. His focus was to love and serve everyone around Him, then and now. Both through His treatment of others and through the loving gifts that He has provided us to guide us back to Him, Christ continually demonstrates compassion for each of God’s children and invites us to do the same.

As long as we progress in some degree, the Lord will be pleased and will bless us.

Bonds That Make Us Free is a ground-breaking book that suggests the remedy for our troubling emotions by addressing their root causes. The doctrine of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is intertwined with its history. Our history shapes our collective identity as members of the Lord's restored Church. It gives us examples of past disciples that can inspire us to move forward with faith, even in difficult times. Yet many Church members sometimes feel wary of talking about the past, worried that studying history will somehow lead to a faith crisis. These worries usually center on challenging subjects such as plural marriage or the racial priesthood and temple restriction.

Holiness is not reserved for the few. It is the quiet, daily work of any disciple willing to walk toward God. In A Mormon’s Four-Step Journey to Holiness, Kent Eyner Nielsen writes as one laborer to another—not from a pulpit, but from the same road. Drawing on scripture, latter-day revelation, and hard-won experience, he lays out a practical path: how to find purpose, meet trials as instruments instead of abandonment, and align heart, habits, and will with the word of God. This is for the disciple carrying the form of godliness without its power. Not a program. A four-step pattern.

On Sunday mornings, is it about going to Church or going to worship? Oftentimes, it is easy to go through the motions of discipleship and leave it at that. We go to church, attend our meetings, and carry out our callings. But where does Christ fall into all of this? Without Him at the center, even these righteous duties can overwhelm rather than build —leaving us spiritually hungry. This book is an invitation to refocus —to move beyond habit and rediscover a living, sustaining relationship with Jesus Christ. True spiritual renewal does not come from doing more, but from drawing closer to Him.

The research suggests that nearly 40 percent of once-active Latter-day Saints in the United States have stepped away from Church participation over the past twenty-five years. But this book is about far more than statistics. It is about sons and daughters. Husbands and wives. Friends and ward members. It is about thoughtful, sincere people striving to live with integrity-and the many believers who remain in the Church yet feel increasingly torn themselves.

Grey and Richard Neitzel Holzapfel introduce listeners to some of the latest historical and archaeological findings about Gethsemane and the surrounding areas that offer new, fascinating insights into Jesus’s sacred experience on that final night of his mortality.
