Why are Heavenly NDEs so different from each other and yet so alike? What are their most repetitive elements? And what can these actually tell us about God, Jesus, and Paradise? After personally interviewing over two dozen near-death experiencers from different parts of the world, the journalist and comparative religion researcher AJ Parr analyzes the most common elements he found in the cases of the following 15 survivors.

In this prize-winning essay for the 2021 Bigelow Institute for Consciousness Studies essay contest, Dr. Ruickbie examines the evidence for the survival of consciousness after death (“life after death”). Initially skeptical, he found that there was sufficient evidence from a wide variety of sources, including apparitions, reincarnation, near-death experiences, after-death communication, and premonitions, that met the contest’s criteria of being “beyond reasonable doubt.”

The best evidence in favor of an afterlife are the multiple, independent investigation approaches all pointing, in different ways, to postmortem survival. This essay includes nine categories of inquiry. Dr Mishlove examines the evidence from these nine distinct domains pointing to survival of consciousness. While each individual domain of evidence is strong, when united as a whole, they are virtually invincible.

For six minutes Wisconsin husband, farmer, and writer Philip Hasheider was dead. He met all the requirements: heart not beating, lungs no longer breathing, skin an ashen-color turning blue. He was lifeless, flat on the floor. This extraordinary story of his Near Death Experience (NDE) is about the events on an early October morning leading to his sudden cardiac death and what he experienced during that time away from his body. Through no request or fault of his own, he had suddenly, in an instant, become an expert on dying.

Reports of near-death experiences (NDEs) are flooding the media with books, articles and interviews. People describe hovering over their bodies, details of their surgeries, talking with deceased relatives, and reviewing their lives in vivid detail, often while their brains should be incapable of producing rational thought or memories.

In 1975, Dr. James Moody introduced us to the enigmatic world of the “near-death experience” (NDE), where individuals touch the spiritual realm during or near the brink of death. But these remarkable encounters aren’t limited to religious believers alone; they affect us all, transcending boundaries of race, creed, and culture, weaving a puzzling tapestry of commonalities and contradictions.

In our identity-obsessed culture, it is easy to think that who we are is determined by what we see in the mirror. Michelle Brock has helped thousands of people discover the stories of their previous lives - their traumas and triumphs, losses and loves - and has witnessed incredible results.
