The terrible and long-drawn out siege of Troy, the quarrel of Achilles and Agamemnon, the interactions between Olympian Gods and humans, remains among one of the classic campaigns and the heroism and treachery of the combatants have been unmatched in song and story. It is a literal translation, but prose, and therefore so much easier to understand! This is certainly the version for those who want to know what Homer is about.

There is adult content, and listeners should be adults. This is the author's 12th book. She also writes true-crime, short stories, and has published a cookbook.

The language of Poetry is an art that most of us attempt at some point in our lives. Although its commonplace exposure has been somewhat marginalised in today’s often fast-paced lives we all recognise good verse that can empathise with our thoughts or open us up to experience new things in new ways

In this book-length epic poem set in northern Nigeria, Saddiq Dzukogi blends the personal with the mythical, part prayer and part praise song, expanding the griot tradition of Bakandamiya, a poetic form from northern Nigeria popularized by Mamman Shata.

Echoes of an Old World: An English Spirit in New England is a collection of poems by Elizabeth Stansfield Hunter, edited by her grandson, David Hunter Kennedy. The book reflects Elizabeth’s deep connection to both her Victorian English heritage and her life in New England, capturing themes of nature, family, love, and loss. Written between the 1920s and 1960s, the poems explore the beauty of nature, the joys and trials of life, and the devastating impact of losing her son during World War II.

In "Gay Poems for Red States," Carver counters the injustice of a persistent anti-LGBTQ+ movement by asserting that a life full of beauty and pride is possible for everyone. More than a collection of poetry, Carver's earnest and heartfelt verses are for those wishing to discover and understand the vastness of Appalachia, and for the LGBTQ+ Appalachians who long for a future -- and for a home -- in an often unwelcoming place.

Under Construction is a poetic journey through the beautiful chaos of becoming. It explores our universal longing for unconditional love, the search for purpose, and the slow, sacred work of discovering who we are meant to be. Born out of a season of deep reflection, this collection captures the many stages and shifting seasons of growth. Each poem stands as its own story—an intimate snapshot of storms weathered, lessons learned, and moments of quiet breakthrough. From battles fought to victories earned, these verses trace a path through life’s turbulence toward clarity, healing, and destiny.

Travelling into my final years on this wonderful planet of ours, that question can arise more than twice a day. Observing England, Wales, Scotland and again Mallorca during my newfound freedom reveals the mores, habits, contradictions and petty annoyances of the 2020s. This essentially human interaction, combined with a deep love of people, places and the written word, drives a poetic response that continues to tumble out. Each day can trigger an enlivening of deep-seated memories, many re-emerging that had been locked away during our busy working lives.

In 2023, the author unexpectedly immigrated to Poland; remaining so to be close to his young son. Alone and without support, he was overwhelmed, navigating the family court system and forced to learn a new language. Driven by love and curiosity, he became an English teacher, connected with bilingual families, and supported global language learners online. The author began this collection of poems to capture the lessons from this journey, but they began to connect to the universal need to connect, be understood, and communicate.
