Joining us at Audible Studios is British political activist Sophie Walker, who was the founding leader of the Women's Equality Party in the United Kingdom. Her book, Five Rules for Rebellion, gives us advice on how to incorporate activism into our lives. Walker has appeared on UK media broadcasts, was listed as one of BBC's '100 Women' and named by The Evening Standard as one of the 'New Suffragettes'.

Goldsmith is mixed-race and was raised in London in the 1950s by a single white mother. Goldsmith was the first female - and only ever woman of colour - to be elected to the University of Leicester students' union. She founded Anona Development Consultancy in 1995, for which she works as an energiser, motivator and strategist in the not-for-profit sector. Goldsmith has worked with more than 100 different groups and organisations over five continents.

Joining us at Audible Studios is scientist and broadcaster Adam Rutherford. Rutherford is the presenter of BBC Radio 4's Inside Science, as well as author of a number of books, including How to Argue with a Racist. Adam Rutherford spoke to us about his latest publication, How to Argue with a Racist, and we discussed the history of genetics, race being a social construct, his thoughts on ancestry testing kits and more.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Tom Bale (the pseudonym of David Harrison), author of titles such as One Dark Night and Skin and Bones. His latest title, The Stone Song, ventures into a brand-new genre for him. Harrison, born near Brighton, has worked in retail, in a factory, as a claims handler for an insurance company and as a househusband, but his ultimate goal throughout life was to become an author. We spoke to David Harrison about The Stone Song, his determination to become a writer and his life as an author.

Dahl has been contributing editor at Men’s Vogue, Conde Nast Traveller and British Vogue. Her literary career began in 2003, when she released her first book, an illustrated novella which became a Times best seller, titled The Man with the Dancing Eyes. She has gone on to release cookery books, including Miss Dahl’s Voluptuous Delights, and cookery shows. Dahl, married to jazz singer Jamie Cullum, has two children and lives in Buckinghamshire. Her newest book is her first for children and is titled Madame Badobedah.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness, an American hairdresser, television personality and podcaster. Van Ness was born in Quincy, Illinois, and has been openly gay throughout his life. In 2013, Van Ness was dressing the hair of a friend, Erin Gibson, who asked him to recap his webcast, Gay of Thrones, on her show, Funny or Die. From this, his Gay of Thrones series garnered more attention, and in 2018, it was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Short Form Variety Series.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Bill Bryson, one of Britain's best-selling nonfiction authors. Bryson has captivated the hearts and minds of Britons with his genial character, general cheerfulness and amazing ability to simplify overwhelming science into something that can be understood by all. The Beekeeper of Aleppo tells the story of Nuri, a beekeeper, and Afra an artist, who are warmly surrounded by friends and family in the beautiful city of Aleppo in Syria. Their world changes in an instant when war destroys everything they've known and loved and serves them unendurable heartbreak. In this interview we spoke about Lefteri's experiences in refugee camps in Athens, how these weighed on her, and thus her motivations for writing The Beekeeper of Aleppo. We also spoke about learning about beekeeping, PTSD and asylum.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Temi Oh, who has a BSci in neuroscience and an MA in creative writing and who has recently released her debut novel, Do You Dream of Terra-Two? We spoke about how rewriting one book taught her to write novels, how she got to go in a human centrifuge and being a huge audiobook fan.

In the past century, a total of 491 women have been elected to parliament. However, it wasn’t until 2016 that the total number of women ever elected eventually surpassed the number of male MPs in a single parliament. We spoke about Rachel about interviewing Teresa May for the book and how being a woman MP has affected her career.

Joining us at Audible Studios is critically acclaimed author and social historian Hallie Rubenhold. We spoke about her new book, The Five, which tells the story of Jack the Ripper’s victims, revealing their interesting and varied true lives and their stories, which have been lost due to misogyny and tabloid press. Joining us in the Audible Studios to talk about his narration of the classic Charles Dickens novel Martin Chuzzlewit is lauded British actor and stage director Derek Jacobi. Famed for his stage presence and powerful voice, Roger has also carved a solo career as well as an acting one. His memoir, Roger Daltrey: Thanks a Lot Mr. Kibblewhite, was published in October 2018. Roger Daltrey talks to us about the time he was chucked out of The Who, making his own Fender guitar and discovering he had three more children after his 50th birthday.
