Jesus said, leave your material belongings to follow me. Televangelists say money is proof that Jesus loves you, and we accept all major credit cards. I once went to a church in San Diego, and the preacher's sermon was on tithing and how "we need to tithe and not be a spiritual leach". I never went back to church again. Well, that and some other reasons, for such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.

To take a journey, travelers must know where they are, where they are going, and how to get there. Moral theology examines the same three truths. The Christian Moral Life is a guide for moral theology that uses the theme of a journey to explain its key ethical concepts. Based on an examination of the moral methodology in The Bible, the audiobook discusses the importance of participating in divine nature through grace in order to attain eternal happiness.

The Bible and the Ballot demonstrates the proper use of scripture in contemporary political discussions. Christians regularly invoke the Bible to support their positions on many controversial political topics - gay marriage, poverty, war, religious liberty, immigration, the environment, etc. - and this book will help facilitate those conversations. Tremper Longman provides a hermeneutical approach to using the Bible in this manner, then proceeds topic by topic, citing important scriptures to be taken into consideration in each case and offering an evangelical interpretation.

Christian identity is in moral and political crisis. Lee Camp writes “that one major reason Christianity in America has been made into a bad public joke is our failure to rightly understand what Christianity is.” Scandalous Witness provides a way forward. Although refusing to reduce Christianity to any partisan agenda, he reminds us that the gospel is inherently political and that we are called to be political witnesses.

How can ordinary Christians find moral guidance for the mundane dilemmas they confront in their daily lives? To answer this question, Julie Hanlon Rubio brings together a rich Catholic theology of marriage and a strong commitment to social justice. The focus is on the place where the ethics of ordinary life are played out: the family.

Using plain language and word pictures, Spurgeon shares an earnest word for those who are seeking salvation. It has been written to show clearly how much we all need grace and how much grace is available for our needs. The writer would like to compel us, by his words, to come to Jesus Christ and receive that grace. A classic on a great subject written by one of the greatest preachers who ever lived.

Luxury! The word alone conjures up visions of attractive, desirable lifestyle choices, yet luxury also faces criticism as a moral vice, harmful to both the self and society. Engaging ideas from business, marketing, and economics, The Vice of Luxury takes on the challenging task of naming how much is too much in today's consumer-oriented society.

A Flaming Arrow in God's Bow is a mixture of narrative or prose poetry, autobiography, and thoughts on God. Jesus Christ plays a major role in this book, as is fitting since he's really stepped up to playing a major role in my day to day life. I wrote this book with boldness, trying to show one person's unique view on sin, forgiveness, hope, repentance, and reawakening of the spirit. I wanted the book to be unique, and I believe I accomplished that goal. Buy this book, and judge for yourself.

This is an audiobook hoping to embolden doubt and sharpen unanswerable questions, all in the context of loving the self and one another. Ridiculously, it believes the world can be healed through such a hope. It is especially addressed to those allergic to the word “faith”, and others who feel confident and proud in the faith they profess or system of thought they live by. Humbling Faith helps us see how our beliefs, or non-beliefs, our belongings, and identities, often remain flawed, myopic, self-absorbed, unredeemed.

Dr. Worden carefully traces the historical shift through the centuries of Christianity through the Reformation on how profit-seeking and wealth are assumed to be related to the sin of greed. In short, making and accumulating money was thought by most major theologians for centuries to indicate the presence of greed, the love of more and more. The uncoupling of greed from earthly treasure began to take hold only with Aquinas amid novel pressures from Commercial Revolution.

In this magisterial volume Charles E. Curran surveys the historical development of Catholic moral theology in the United States from its 19th century roots to the present day. He begins by tracing the development of pre-Vatican II moral theology that, with the exception of social ethics, had the limited purpose of training future confessors to know what actions are sinful and the degree of sinfulness.

Bitterness often grows out of a small offense: perhaps a passing word, an accidental shove, or a pair of dirty socks left in the middle of the living room floor. Yet when bitterness takes root in our hearts, its effects are anything but small. In this collection of short articles, Jim Wilson and others discuss what it means to live as "imitators of God." As the Apostle Paul says in Ephesians, "We have been called to leave the bitterness and anger of the world and instead embrace the love and compassion of our God".

These essays, originally written by Evola during the 1930s and '40s, deal with war from a spiritual and heroic perspective. Evola selects specific examples from the Nordic, Vedic, Roman, Persian, Islamic, and other traditions to demonstrate how traditionalists can prepare themselves to experience war in a way that will allow them to overcome the limited possibilities offered by our materialistic and degraded age, thereby transcending the Age of Kali and entering the world of heroism.

But precisely how to change remains an open question.

Pharmacists who refuse to fill prescriptions for contraceptives. Surgeons who pray in the OR. Pro-life clinics and end-of-life interventions, intelligent-design activists and stem-cell-research opponents. Is this the state of modern medicine in America? In Blind Faith, Dr. Richard P. Sloan examines the fragile balance and dangerous alliance between religion and medicine - two practices that have grown disconcertingly close during the 21st century.
