This key introduction to the doctrines of Christian faith is based on C.H. Spurgeon's Puritan Catechism. Spurgeon sought to conform the Baptist Catechism to the classic Westminster Shorter Catechism. Scripture proofs are from the King James Bible, the original English Bible version of both Shorter and Spurgeon's Catechisms. Shoshana Institute's Catechism adds back the section on Prayer which Spurgeon had removed. The questions on prayer are from the Baptist Catechism.
