Die Wiener Ringstraße ist ein weltberühmter Prachtboulevard - und zugleich Denkmal einer großartigen Ära, an die verschiedenste nostalgische Träume geknüpft sind. 2015 feiert dieses Wahrzeichen der Donaumetropole seinen 150. Geburtstag. Anlass für den WienTourismus, 13 international renommierte AutorInnen einzuladen, dieses Jubiläum mit literarischen Beiträgen zu feiern. Die so entstandenen Texte bilden das Hörbuch "1865, 2015. 150 Jahre Wiener Ringstraße".

So äußert sich der große Schriftsteller nach dem tragischen Brand, der die Kathedrale Notre-Dame am Abend des 15. April 2019 verwüstet hat. In seinem berühmtesten Roman, Die Säulen der Erde, beschrieb Ken Follett ausführlich die Verbrennung der Kingsbridge-Cathedral fast wie eine Vorahnung dessen, was in Paris geschehen ist.
