Los Angeles homicide detective Jack Rivera has a killer body, a wicked smile, and a velvet touch. Just ask Christina McMullen. The cocktail-waitress-turned-psychologist has handled obsessed patients, love-struck drunks, and her own guilt-tripping mother with aplomb. But when it comes to the lieutenant, Chrissy has an old-fashioned case of irresistible attraction - until things turn fatal when Rivera is accused of murder.

Chrissy McMullen has made a career leap, all the way from slinging drinks at Chicago's most notorious nightclub to dispensing psychotherapy from her sleek new practice in LA. Even if she can't quite shed her too-loud, too-curvy alter ego - or the brawling family that insists on claiming kinship. So when her most famous client, buff football star "Bomber" Bomstad, starts chasing her around her desk and getting, well...unzipped...Christina gets just a little miffed - until Bomber has the bad manners to drop dead at her feet.

Magdalena Yoder, Amish-Mennonite proprietor of the Pennsylvania Dutch Inn, travels to Farmersburg, Ohio for the funeral of her second cousin (twice removed) who had the unfortunate luck of drowning in a vat of milk - and, as Magdalena knows, Amish men just don't go swimming in milk in the middle of February. Something's definitely rotten in Farmersburg...

This debut mystery introduces Magdalena Yoder, prim, proper, and persnickety proprietor of the PennDutch Inn, where guests luxuriate in the true "Amish experience," (read: doing Magdalena's chores and paying top dollar for the opportunity!).

When one of her more reclusive guests takes a tumble down the PennDutch's picturesquely steep staircase and breaks his neck, the timing couldn't be worse. It's the start of hunting season - and her inn is packed to capacity!

Magdalena Yoder, chaste and abstemious proprietor of the Pennsylvania Dutch Inn, agrees to let a Hollywood crew film at the inn. But when the assistant director is found pinned to a barn post with a farming tool, dimwitted local police chief Marvin Stoltzfus fingers Magdalena as his prime suspect. Now it's time for Magdalena to use her extraordinary Amish sleuthing skills to reveal the real killer.

To the outside world, they look like American royalty, giving to charities, feeding the homeless, and rebuilding the city. But behind closed doors is a constant battle for dominance between two bosses, cultures, and hearts. Ruthless People is a romantic crime fiction set in modern day Chicago and follows the life and marriage of Melody Giovanni and Liam Callahan - rivals by blood and leaders through fear.

Penelope Adair, wife and partner of sleuth Barnaby Adair, is so hugely pregnant she can barely waddle, much less assist, when Barnaby is summoned by Inspector Stokes of Scotland Yard to help investigate the violent murder of a gentleman at a house party. Penelope insists that she and Griselda, Stokes's wife, receive reports to stay duly informed of their husbands' discoveries. But what Barnaby and Stokes uncover leads only to more questions. The victim had been thrown out of the house party days before, so why had he returned? And how did he come to have the famous Finsbury diamonds in his pocket?

Christina McMullen, psychologist extraordinaire, has problems - not least of which are her needy clients, a schizophrenic septic system, and her sizzling-then-fizzling romance with Lieutenant Jack Rivera. But Chrissy has yet another problem she'd like to ignore: finding her secretary's missing boyfriend. Okay, so she secretly hopes the vertically challenged computer geek has harmlessly departed from Elaine's life - after all, there's no evidence to suggest foul play. But when her razor-sharp instincts, honed by years as a cocktail waitress, start screaming, she'll have to use her skills.
