Welcome to Sugar Creek Gap. It's a lovely small town. Small towns have their advantages: Everyone is together to celebrate the good times and rallies together to comfort during the bad times. It also has its disadvantages: Everyone knows everyone, and it's a hotbed of gossip.

Sugar Creek Gap is a Southern small town where everyone puts their differences aside in order to come together for the greater good of the cozy, close-knit community. But when a citizen, Jeff Faulkner, goes missing from the annual Sugar Creek Gap High School fundraiser, the rumor mill starts to turn faster and faster, churning up the past. Bernadette Butler, a local mail carrier, hears all the gossip swirling around while delivering the mail on route. Bernie can't help but collect clues with all the gossip flowing faster than she can deliver the mail.

Mail Carrier Bernadette Butler just can't stop delivering clues when the clerk of the new book store turns up dead in Sugar Creek Gap, Kentucky, after the town is already shocked over a tell all "fiction" romance novel that hit the shelves filled secrets that were brushed under the rug and now left hung out to dry. 

Bernadette Butler has a penchant for solving murders while keeping her ear low to the ground listening to gossip while on her mail carrier route. Bernie tries to deliver a return to sender package and a certified letter to a local man and finds him dead.

Folks in Sugar Creek Gap, Kentucky, are so excited for Bernadette Butler! She's getting married to Mac Tabor, the man of her dreams! Wedding week is nerve-wracking enough, but add to that a murder of a local radio DJ with a nasty reputation, who was found stabbed to death with a letter opener days before Bernadette's wedding, and the DJ who Bernadette hired for the wedding is the number one suspect. Now Bernadette has not only possibly lost a big part of her dream wedding, she'll have to solve a mystery with more layers than the five-tiered wedding cake!

Mail carrier Bernadette (Bernie) Butler, along with the Front Porch Ladies, are curious about their new neighbor, Courtney Gaines, who is the niece of Florence Gaines, the wealthiest widow in Sugar Creek Gap. Florence lets it be known that she is seeing Zeke Grey, which doesn't set well with the Front Porch Ladies. They were all in competition for Zeke's attention. While delivering the mail, Bernie overhears what could be the couple's first marital spat. When Florence turns up dead in mulch, Bernie can't help but want to get involved.

Mail Carrier Bernadette Butler makes sure she checks on all of her elderly customers on her mail carrier route during the colder months. It makes her feel good and lets face it, she's trying to keep her mind off the feelings she's having for her deceased husband's best friend, Mac Tabor. Which makes putting everyone before her is easy. Until she notices one particular customer's dog is on the loose, Bernadette takes the dog back and something isn't right. The door is open. Bernadette goes in to check on her customer only to find him murdered!

Everyone in Sugar Creek Gap has tried to fix up widow and beloved mail carrier Bernadette Davis on several dates. They say she has to be lonely. What they don't know is how Bernadette's life is filled...filled with everyone's hidden secrets and obsessions. After all, she does deliver their mail and hears all the dirty laundry southern folks love to sweep secrets under the rug. While on her route, Bernadette finds out the beloved Sugar Creek Gap Country Club is being sold and turned into condos. The developer is Bernadette's best friend, Mac Tabor, and right now he's not very popular.
