In this second installment of the 'Book of Whispers' series, Tasha resumes her search for the Raven, wanting nothing more than to be rid of the book that until now, has brought only misery. She and her faithful companions, Gid and Dom, find themselves travelling to a distant world where she is surrounded by strange new people, customs and -- creatures. To make matters worse, Tasha begins to realize that the answers she is looking for may be held by the very creature that is hunting them.

The powerful sense of evil – darkness, creepy hairy presences, cloaks, hoods, talons and tentacles – pervades these classic ghost stories by M.R. James. A Cambridge scholar himself, James explored what happens when academics dabble in things they don’t understand and unleash forces of which they know nothing.
