In the gripping 13th installment of the Jeannie Loomis series, FBI agent Loomis finds herself embroiled in yet another high-stakes investigation at the behest of Interpol. This time, the elusive mastermind and their cohorts have brazenly pilfered the Sudarium of Oviedo, a revered artifact said to have shrouded the face of Jesus post-crucifixion, from its sanctuary in Spain. But before Loomis can close in on the perpetrator, another sacred relic, the Shroud of Turin, vanishes without a trace.

Agent Jeannie Loomis and her partner are called to the scene of a double homicide. The victims were tortured before their deaths. Loomis realizes that the suspects were seeking information about the location of Hitler’s gold train, a phantom train hidden in a mountain range in Austria by a recently deceased SS officer. The SS officer had maps and a diary pinpointing its exact location. A second search of his residence in San Francisco revealed a hidden room containing gold bars of the Third Reich as well as property belonging to Jews executed in the death camps he was assigned to.

While Special Agent Jeannie Loomis and her partner, Ismail Flores, attend Super Bowl LIV in Florida, Ricky Pinheiro, Jeannie’s love interest, attends a high-level briefing at the NSA where he is informed that the possible location of missing Romanoff jewelry lies in the hands of a Russian oligarch living in San Francisco. In Dallas, the FBI closes in on a lone-wolf jihadist desiring another 9/11-type attack on the United States. It will take all of Loomis’ experience and skills to focus her team on the tasks at hand.
