What happens when a book presented as ancient Eastern wisdom begins leaving fingerprints across centuries of Western spiritual literature? Our investigation into Unto Thee I Grant began somewhere unexpected: The Holy Koran of the Moorish Science Temple of America. Behind portions of Noble Drew Ali’s influential text lay another book—a compact collection of teachings on character, discipline, friendship, wealth, marriage, adversity, wisdom, and the conduct of life.

In Samuel Johnson's famous quote, "When a man knows he is to be hanged in a fortnight, it concentrates his mind wonderfully," we find a sobering observation about the power of impending death to focus one's thoughts. Thus is was for the mind and spirit of this soon-to-be martyr.

The similarities the Samaritan Pentateuch (SP) shares with the Dead Sea Scrolls (DSS), as well as many similarities with the Septuagint (LXX), challenge the longstanding view that the Samaritan Pentateuch is a later, borrowed, and altered form of the Masoretic Text (MT). The historical devaluation of the Samaritan Pentateuch requires reevaluation, based upon the contextual cohesiveness of the Samaritan Pentateuch, agreement with the most ancient texts of the DSS and LXX, and the uninterrupted and non-dispersed oral transmission of the Ancient Israelite Samaritans.

The Gospel of Thomas has been a flame of enlightenment in the world for almost 2,000 years. Once, almost extinguished, it has returned to us in ways most have never imagined. Today, the Gospel of Thomas leads us both spiritually and psychologically. In this work we will delve deeply into the spiritual and psychological meaning and application of each verse. We will gain a profound understanding of our nature and we will see how Gnosticism has influenced the development of modern psychology, under the hand of Carl G. Jung.

The Book of Jubilees, also known as The Little Genesis and The Apocalypse of Moses, opens with an extraordinary claim of authorship. It is attributed to the very hand of Moses; penned while he was on Mount Sinai, as an angel of God dictated to him regarding those events that transpired from the beginning of the world. The story is written from the viewpoint of the angel. The angelic monologue takes place after the exodus of the children of Israel out of Egypt. The setting is atop Mount Sinai, where Moses was summoned by God. The text then unfolds as the angel reveals heaven's viewpoint of history.

The Gospel of Barnabas depicts the life of Jesus, claiming to be by Jesus' disciple, Barnabas. Two manuscripts are known to have existed, both dated to the late 16th century and written, respectively, in Italian and Spanish. The Spanish manuscript is now lost. The text now only exists in a partial 18th-century transcript.

The story of Joseph and Aseneth was written between 100 BCE and 100 CE, in a midrash style. This translation is rendered in a modern, easy to read format with history, background, and commentary. Joseph and Aseneth is an epic story of love, desire, sanctification, and forgiveness. It is also a story of religious intolerance, racism, sexism, subterfuge, betrayal, and hate.

Rendered in plain and understandable language, this little book is a wellspring of wisdom intermingled in a story even children will find entertaining. Its wisdom rivals that of Proverbs. It is a wonderful way to teach "life lessons." The Story of Ahikar is one of the oldest sources of wisdom literature. Its influence can be traced through the Koran, as well as the Old and New Testaments. The oldest version, which we can only assume to be the original Papyrus, appears to have been produced circa 500 BC. It is written in Aramaic and was discovered among the ruins of Elephantine.

In the bible of one of the oldest Christian sects, the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, are the books of Enoch and Jubilees. These ancient texts are missing from the bibles of other Christian sects and denominations. The books reveal the secrets of the Watchers, the fallen angels who mated with women. The texts describe the offspring of this unholy union and how it brought evil into the world in the forms of the Giants, the Men of Renown, and the Nephilim, who were half human and half demon.

Following in the apocalyptic visions of Daniel, Ezekiel, and Revelation, The War Scroll reveals the conflict between good and evil in the final days of mankind. The War Scroll is a very important piece of literature in our understanding of the concepts of divine justice and retribution held by the Jewish community of the Essenes and the Qumran Community in the time of Jewish persecution by Rome. The scroll reflects a belief that in the end times, evil would be eradicated by the Power of God and his Sons of Light.

In 1868, a French archaeologist and his team were excavating a cemetery in Egypt when they came upon a certain tomb from the eighth century. In the tomb was a monk, reclining peacefully with hands folded on his breast, clasping a small book which he believed to be sacred, holy, and inspired. This book contained the Gospel of Peter. A portion of The Gospel According to Peter had been restored to the Christian community after having been lost over a thousand years.

Among the first seven scrolls discovered in the caves of Qumran at the Dead Sea is a scroll given the name "The Book of Giants". It is thought to have been based on the Book of Enoch, a pseudepigraphical Jewish work from the third century BCE. The Book of Giants, like the Book of Enoch, concerns itself with the Nephilim, which are the offspring of fallen angels, who are called the Watchers. Two main versions of the text exist. The Dead Sea version is written in Aramaic.

Legends of the Yoruba gathers together a treasury of folktales from the Yoruba people of Southern Nigeria—stories shaped by centuries of oral tradition, ancestral memory, and a deep, intimate relationship with the natural and spiritual worlds. These tales, preserved and retold by M. I. Ogumefu, reveal the adventures of humans, animals, and spirits alike, offering imaginative explanations for the mysteries of nature: why women have long hair, how the leopard gained its spots, why certain creatures behave as they do, and many more wonders observed in the world around us.

Supreme among the wonders of antiquity, unrivaled by the achievements of later architects and builders, the Great Pyramid of Gizeh bears mute witness to an unknown civilization which, having completed its predestined span, passed into oblivion. Eloquent in its silence, inspiring in its majesty, divine in its simplicity, the Great Pyramid is indeed a sermon in stone.

Dive into the profound exploration of the Pentateuch with Joseph Lumpkin's insightful study, "The Five Books of Moses." This work seamlessly blends scholarly analysis with literary critique, offering listeners a deeper understanding of the foundational texts of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. In Genesis, Lumpkin illuminates the themes of creation, covenant, and human nature, connecting ancient insights with contemporary interpretations to underscore the text's enduring relevance.

The Kebra Nagast stands as one of the most revered and spiritually potent works in the Christian world—a foundational text of Ethiopian identity and a testament to a lineage believed to descend from the union of King Solomon of Israel and Makeda, the Queen of Sheba. More than a historical chronicle, it is a sacred epic, preserved through centuries by the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, weaving together divine providence, royal authority, and the unfolding destiny of a nation chosen to safeguard one of the holiest treasures of antiquity.

Aradia remains one of the most influential and mysterious works ever written on la vecchia religione, the Old Religion of pre-Christian Italy. In this seminal text, folklorist Charles Godfrey Leland preserves the mythic narrative, ritual language, and liturgical practices of a tradition in which Diana is the primordial Goddess and Aradia (Herodias) is her incarnate daughter, teacher, and liberator. Witchcraft here is not superstition but a sacred inheritance, carried by the marginalized and kept alive through an unbroken thread of devotion.
