In episode 153 of Telepathy, Enzo and Anna discuss the continuously evolving medium of podcasting. With the expansion of video episodes, they explain how this has affected consumers and creators. Enzo recently had an epiphany while listening to Alisha Marie and Remi Cruz go back and forth on how the Pretty Basic studio impacts their podcast. But as Enzo was on a walk, she realized maybe it’s not that deep, and podcasts may have gone too far beyond the headphones. Anna also references her favorite YouTubers who have evolved into podcasters, relying less on visual/video production to convey their message. Enzo and Anna then conclude that maybe the video format is better suited for co-hosts and “talk shows,” but video might be overall reshaping the long-form vs short-form spectrum. Enjoy!
