Hello babes! This week we're taking an even deeper dive into our personal lives and what has been affecting us, our loved ones, and how other people's decisions has really affected our well-being and mental fortitude. The both of us became roommates and became instantly closer together, than any other roommate we had because of one commonality in the both of our lives, and that was addiction and abuse of drugs by the both of our loved ones who have already passed. We talk about our personal experiences with their struggles and how their addictions took over their life, our life, and the lasting impact it has made on our perspectives even after they have left our lives. Though we do not abuse drugs, experiencing firsthand and seeing other's around us make the conscious decision to do something that they know and understand is not good for them, has truly burdened our hearts with a heaviness we don't know how to get rid of. Closure has felt made-up as so many of our questions will remain unanswered, even though we have done as much as we could for our loved ones. We know this is an illness. We know that this is something that you need to get outside help and support for. We know that it is difficult to admit that you have a problem. But it is the first step to truly controlling these impulses to act on your intrusive thoughts. We whole-heartedly love being alive on this Earth, and we only want to share this love of being alive with those who care to listen, who want to be cared for, and who care for us. If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, drug abuse, or is affected daily by these matters, it's okay to try and help, it's okay to do your best for yourself and for other's, especially when you don't feel like life has been worth it. Please take a step back and really appreciate yourself for all that you have done for yourself, you still have a pulse for a reason. Humans have the capacity for resiliency, empathy, and consciousness for a reason! We were made to survive and thrive. If you have done your best for those around you, if you have lost someone to their addiction, to their own bodily abuse, our hearts go out to you, and please understand that you have a community with us and with several others, you are NEVER alone. Thank you for listening to us talk about such a deep and harsh topic, it is something that has affected the both of us so emphatically and we only wish to spread awareness to those we know, to those who care, and to those who are struggling. Please be kind, as we are just human beings who are trying to heal in the best way we know how, and we do not mean any harm to anyone who has passed, anyone who is close to us, or those who have passed on because of such a matter.
