Season one of the new year starts here. We brought every freshman on the team into the studio, one by one, and asked them the same questions: who are you, what do you swim, what do you think two weeks in — and what do you actually bring to this team?Nine freshmen. Ten girls, ten boys, one transfer — 20 new faces at Mason this year. Some of them have never lifted in a weight room. One of them has never swum a timed yard in his life. One trained completely alone back home. Every single one of them said "support" when we asked what they bring… so by freshman #4 we started demanding better answers. We took a month off. Here's everything we actually did.

In Episode 7, we're back from the longest break we've taken since starting the podcast — two internships, a Florida trip, ten days of visitors, and zero excuses. AOUN spent three months at Georgetown running building systems for an entire campus. AGU ran ops for a restaurant and did AI marketing for a startup hiring in 125+ countries. Both of us came back with the same conclusion: we learned more in one summer than in four years of classes.

We also get into the stuff nobody puts on a résumé — why Miami is overrated, the locker-room draft, the six-minute breakfast sandwich tier list, whether you should hustle through your entire 20s, and the guy at Georgetown who dropped out and is doing better than everybody with the degree.
