    2026/04/20

In the second interview of a double dose of denim, Gen X Joe is diving deep with a voice, a guitar and a story for Season 1 - Episode 5 that helped define an era… Mark Kendall Official of Great White [Band] isn’t just talking riffs and rock ‘n’ roll glory days… he’s opening the vault. From the explosive rise of Great White beginnings from Dante Fox in the ‘80s — to when bluesy hard rock carved its name into the Sunset Strip — to the battles that don’t make headlines, Kendall is pulling no punches. He talks candidly about his cancer diagnosis, the road through treatment, and what it means to keep fighting when the stage lights dim and it’s just you and reality. And now, he’s putting it all on paper. Fourteen chapters in, his upcoming autobiography “Soul Of A Man” promises a raw, unfiltered journey… childhood memories, life on the road, the music, the scars — nothing held back.

This isn’t just a rock story. It’s a survival story. It’s a legacy story. From the thunder of the ‘80s to right now… the impact of Great White still echoes. Gen X Joe hopes you enjoy this episode.

  • Hue Have to Hear This – The Message of Violet Blend
    2026/03/24

SPECIAL EPISODE: For Season 2, Episode 19, in Honor of National Women’s History Month, my guest this week is Giada Celeste Chelli (vocalist) of Violet Blend, an Italian alternative rock/metal band formed in Florence in 2014. Known for their high-energy, sound blending rock, punk, and metal, they have released the albums White Mask (2017) and Demons (2021) and are currently working on a new album. As to why I chose Giada as my guest this week, with being #nationalwomenshistorymonth which honors the contributions of women to history and society, Giada is making a huge difference in Italy as an advocate for social issues, especially with a current campaign against stalking, to which she was a victim herself. Through her experience and advocacy she wrote a song called #thereignofsadness which is currently available for streaming and developed a role playing board/card game called #TalkOrStalk to heighten the awareness about this act of violence. The game is available for purchase on Bandcamp and through social media links. This week's episode is sure to impactful and educational that you don't want to miss. If you find this episode enlightening and educational please share.
