Welcome to Telling Great Stories. I'm Nate Campbell and I have a passion for storytelling. My grandpa Tom was the best storyteller I've ever met. There are no stories written about him. There are no books, no movies, and no articles. His stories died with him in 2021, and I don't want that for you or anyone else. This podcast will help you to become a great storyteller as I go along this journey with you in becoming a great writer and in becoming a great storyteller myself.
Today's episode talks about your identity as a storyteller. When you think about that, what's your answer? Are you bad at storytelling? Are you good at storytelling? Are you great at storytelling? Is it natural for you?
More likely, your answer was not that you're getting better at storytelling, but that you're not great yet. Improving is a mindset. Once we add the word "yet," our mindset begins to shift. Our brain begins to be rewired we need to take action. We can think all we want, but without action, change doesn't happen. The reason you came here, the reason that you decided, "I need to start becoming a better storyteller," is enough reason for you to take action. What's the action that you're going to take today?
I teach storytelling here on this podcast and at www.tellinggreatstories.com
