Your Grad Isn't Stuck Because There Are No Jobs (with Beth Carter)

Is your college grad living at home and convinced there are no jobs out there? This episode is for you.

Evan Sanchez sits down with Beth Carter of Beth Carter Enterprises. Beth is a certified leadership coach, a former executive recruiter with more than 30 years of experience, and an adjunct professor at Roger Williams University and Bryant University. She works with college students every day and knows what's really holding recent grads back.

In this conversation, you'll learn:

• Why AI isn't wiping out every entry-level job, and which human skills employers still need
• How to help your grad find their strengths by asking what inspired them in college
• Why job boards only go so far, and why AI is often the first to read your grad's resume
• Simple networking tips for nervous grads, like standing by the food and asking who else they should meet
• Why a $25 set of business cards still works
• The number one skill for success in the job market, which Beth learned from interviewing 40 women leaders around the world
• Why parents need to step back and let their grad make the ask

Beth's father had a saying: "The worst you can hear is no."

Her own favorite line: "Your last mistake is your best teacher."
