When people ask me what music I like, generally, I answer with something like “I like all kinds of music, except for country.” I don’t know why it has never really connected with me. I don’t know if it’s the tone of the guitars, or the twang of the voices, I just never really got into it.

This week, I am joined by Sai, who loves country music. He is going to do his best to help me love the music the same way he does. Join us we look at a huge variety of country artists from various generations. Does he convert me over to his side? You’ll have to listen to find out.

When Ian Curtis, the lead singer of Joy Division passed away, the remaining members formed a new group. This new group, New Order, would mix the post punk sounds of Joy Division and the exciting new sounds of dance and synth pop to create their own new sound.
