Send us Fan MailIn this week's episode, we welcome Sharon Farber, a medium, teacher, mentor, and author who began developing her mediumship around age 50 after 38 years in massage and energy healing. We discuss how mediumship can be learned, what evidential and trance work involve, and how spiritual practice can offer connection and healing.Highlights:In this episode, Sharon describes how a mediumship demonstration connected her with her first dog and a close friend, inspiring her to explore the practice.Sharon explains how a painful story shared by a massage client helped her see the potential for mediumship to offer grieving families comfort and closure. She describes trans mediumship as inviting a spirit person to blend with the medium and speak through them, and trans healing as inviting spirit healers to work through the medium.Sharon shares how she combined decades of healing experience with mediumship, including 50 practice trans-healing sessions before offering the work to clients. She defines evidential mediumship as connecting a sitter with recognizable loved ones in spirit through specific information about their personality, character, and life.Sharon encourages people who are curious about mediumship to learn the foundations, take a class, and practice. She says beginners can make validated connections, and that people don’t need to experience every “clair” to develop their own style. She discusses her books, Choosing to Be a Medium and the forthcoming Choosing to Be a Trans Medium, as well as the companion journal she created to help students track practice, experiences, hopes, and fears.Sharon talks about spiritual inspiration in her watercolor paintings, her preference for evidential mediumship, and her guiding message: “If I can learn to do it, so can you.” Timestamps:00:02 - Meet Sharon Farber, a medium and longtime energy healer 03:26 - From deep massage work to energy healing 04:25 - What trans mediumship and trans healing involve 06:17 - Meeting and recognizing spirit guides 07:46 - Sharon’s forthcoming book on trans mediumship 09:17 - Using a companion journal to track mediumship practice 10:15 - The experience that led Sharon to become a medium 13:29 - Can mediumship be learned by anyone who feels curious? 16:00 - Sharon’s definition of evidential mediumship 19:22 - How spirit influences Sharon’s watercolor art 21:37 - The clairs Sharon uses and why students needn’t use them all 23:47 - Sharon’s closing message for aspiring mediumsConnect with Sharon Farber:Website: https://sharonfarber.netInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/farbersharon/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SharonFarberAuthorMedium/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@sharonfarbermediumBook: Choosing to be a MediumUpcoming Book: Choosing to be a Trance Medium WANT TO CROSS THE INTUITIVE BRIDGE WITH ME? 🦋 Step 1: Get Your 10% Discount Love the show?
