Wherever you are reading this—a hospital room, a cubicle, a prison cell, or a bedroom that feels empty—God is already there, because He fills heaven and earth and cannot be escaped or evaded. The darkness that hides your choices from people hides nothing from Him, so His presence is both the greatest comfort and the sharpest call to live with integrity. Your emotions may scream that you're abandoned, but feelings are not facts; the same God who promised, "I will never leave you nor forsake you," is holding you when you can't feel His grip. So stop trying to convince Him to draw near, and start learning to recognize the One whose hand has been leading you all along.
