Jessica leans on her faith to see her on this album closer, and wow is it powerful! On this episode, I explore the history of this gospel hymn in the Black church and the important cover versions across the years. Additionally, I also expand on the importance of Jessica choosing this particular song on an album that is so heavily criticized for being so radically different from "Sweet Kisses".

I will be taking a little summer break as well! See you soon!

Bop or flop? On this episode I cover the least streamed song on "Irresistible" - but does it deserve to be in that ranking? Plus, there is no way we can talk about the y2k pop era without mentioning Ananda Lewis. She played a pivotal role in the relaunching of the NYC era of MTV and in pop culture in general and we will miss her so much!

While many consider this a stand out track on "Irresistible", it falls a little flat to me personally - but I guess that's a me problem, huh? But on the other hand, there is this curious case of mistaken identity that occurred in 2015 on Twitter involving this album and an artist mysteriously named....Lucia Cole.
