    Alyssa Bushkie is the CEO of Opportunity House, a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and strengthening communities. A lifelong resident of Berks County, Alyssa brings deep-rooted local knowledge and an unwavering commitment to social impact through her 13-year career in the nonprofit sector. A proud graduate of Penn State Berks, Alyssa holds a Bachelor's in Education, a Master’s in Strategic Human Resource Management from Saint Joseph’s University and a Nonprofit Leadership Certification from LaSalle University. She is also a Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP). Before joining Opportunity House, Alyssa spent a decade with the YMCA of Reading & Berks County. Her strategic vision, operational acumen, and people-first approach have made her a respected leader in nonprofit. Outside the office, Alyssa is a devoted mother to three energetic sons. Together, they are avid fans of all things Philadelphia sports, love spending time at the arcade, and trips to Florida to enjoy the sun and sand.
