Which one are you living in, the X-Files or the Book of Acts? In this one-time session you'll learn how to recognize when aliens, Bigfoot, Nephilim, and endless internet speculation have quietly become your devotion, and how to redirect that focus toward the things that actually advance God's work. Walking through 1 Timothy 1 and eleven excessive examples of X-Files thinking, you'll gain a biblically balanced perspective on the unknown, discovering why the Bible answers the questions you need answered rather than every question you bring to it, and why your faith doesn't have to be shaken by anything the internet pulls out next. You'll be freed from the modern gnosticism of chasing secret knowledge and pointed instead toward what Jesus said to focus on as His return draws near: being ready, using your time, talent, and treasure, and loving people. If you're tired of giving level 10 attention to level 0.01 attractions and you're ready to be the salt and light this world actually needs, this message will get you out of the basement and into the Book of Acts.
