Cody was born dead to a drug-addicted mother and as a result, has scars all over his body to this day. He survived the projects, the foster care system, and life on the streets at 18 years old. At 20 years old in the Texas prison system, 3 years into his sentence he desired a new way of life. When he learned his worth in Jesus, it changed him and he never looked back. Now Cody and his wife lead a church and travel to prisons with the message to remove the labels of society by seeing and accepting all people as Jesus does. WEB: www.worthypeople.org MAIL: P.O. • Why Do People Lie?
    2026/09/10

What if the biggest lies we face are not the ones others tell us, but the ones we tell ourselves? This conversation digs into the spirit of lying and uncovers how deeply deception can take root in our minds, our relationships, and our sense of identity. We explore how self-deception works against us when the way we see ourselves does not line up with what God says about us. From exaggerating stories to win acceptance, to carrying false guilt and shame that cheapens the work of the cross, the spirit of lying operates in far more areas of our lives than we might expect. The message is clear: anything hidden in darkness belongs to the enemy, and exposing those lies is not just an act of courage, it is a biblical mandate. We are reminded that Jesus identified the enemy as the father of all lies, meaning every accusation, every whispered suggestion that we are not worthy or free or capable, originates from a source that cannot speak truth. When we begin to align our declarations about ourselves with what God actually says, the bar rises, our identity shifts, and the enemy loses his grip. This is an invitation to stop agreeing with the lies and start standing in the truth of who we really are.

  • Praying For Protection
    2026/09/02

What does it look like when hope finds you in the last place you expect it? This conversation takes us deep into that question, exploring how a scrap of paper on a law library floor became the beginning of a life transformed. The passage from Jeremiah 29 -- where God promises thoughts of peace, a future, and a hope to those who seek Him wholeheartedly -- anchors the entire discussion. It is a reminder that God's plans for us are not canceled by our worst decisions or our hardest seasons. Whether we are in a place of physical confinement or an internal prison of fear and doubt, the message is the same: God has always been at work, even when we could not see it. We are challenged to look back at the moments we survived, the news we thought would break us, and recognize the hand of God moving through all of it. Hope, as the Bible tells us in Romans 5, does not disappoint. Faith, as Hebrews 11 describes, is the substance of things not yet seen. Together, these truths form an anchor for anyone who feels like the walls are closing in.
