In “Human Forgiveness,” David Padfield examines the Christian responsibility to forgive, using Luke 17:1–10 as the primary text. He describes three important parts of man's character—giving, thanksgiving, and forgiving—and focuses this lesson on the need for forgiveness.

The sermon develops three central points: all will sin, man should be willing to forgive, and forgiveness is a command given by God. Drawing from Luke 17 along with 1 John 1:5, 1 Timothy 5:22, and Matthew 18:15, Padfield considers how Christians should respond to sin and offenses in their relationships with others.
