The Women of the AoPGBI Podcast Series shines a spotlight on the voices, experiences, and achievements of women working across clinical research, medicine, and science.

Despite significant progress, women remain underrepresented across STEM fields globally, particularly in senior leadership and research positions. The Association of Physicians of Great Britain & Ireland (AoPGBI) recognises the importance of creating greater visibility, representation, and opportunities for women within the clinical research community.

Developed as part of the Women of the AoPGBI (WAoP) initiative, this podcast series aims to inspire conversation, share experiences, highlight role models, and explore the challenges and opportunities facing women in research and academic medicine today.

Through interviews, discussions, and personal stories from leading clinicians, researchers, and emerging voices, the series will showcase the diverse perspectives shaping the future of clinical research and healthcare innovation.

The Women of the AoPGBI initiative was established to help address the gender gap within the AoP and the wider scientific community, while supporting a broader programme of activity focused on progression, inclusion, and positive change.

Together with members, partners, and the wider research community, AoPGBI hopes to help create a more inclusive and representative future for science and clinical research.
