In this shocking true crime story, Festus, Missouri police officer Jim Reese is found murdered inside his patrol car after witnesses report seeing a naked man fleeing the scene. What begins as a mysterious police murder quickly becomes a disturbing family crime involving Jim’s mother, Daisy Kent, her much younger husband Paul Kent, a secret sexual relationship, jealousy, betrayal, and a deadly confrontation. DNA evidence from semen found inside the police car identifies Paul as the mysterious naked man, while investigators uncover evidence that Daisy knew about the affair and had been monitoring Jim’s phone and social media. As detectives piece together the crime scene, hidden relationships, family secrets, and a powerful motive of jealousy, humiliation, and control emerge. Daisy is ultimately arrested and convicted of murdering her own son. During her trial, she claims she is being “persecuted” for her strongly anti-vaccine views and calls the proceedings a “kangaroo court,” while anti-vaccine supporters defend her on YouTube and TikTok.
