• Family Ties: Loving People You Don’t Always Agree With
    2026/09/05

Family relationships can be beautiful—and complicated.

In this episode of With Love & Purpose: Morning Coffee & Christ, First Lady Shantrice Montague gets real about navigating family relationships when love is still present, but communication, expectations, hurt, or boundaries have made things difficult.

Grounded in Romans 12:18, we’re talking about forgiveness, accountability, healthy boundaries, reconciliation, and learning to ask one important question: “Have I done what depends on me?”

Because forgiveness doesn’t always mean restored access, peace doesn’t always mean proximity, and sometimes the prayer isn’t, “God, fix them.” Sometimes it’s simply:

    “God, start with me.”

    2026/08/29

What happens when a mother and daughter sit down for an honest conversation about friendships, school, faith, and growing up?

In this special episode of With Love & Purpose: Morning Coffee & Christ, I’m joined by my daughter, A’Launa, for a real mother-daughter conversation.

You’ll hear both perspectives — mine as a mother and hers as a teenager — because sometimes growth looks different depending on which side of the conversation you're sitting on.

    💕 The mother-daughter relationship
✨ Becoming who God is calling you to be

  • Friends or Frenemies? When Everybody in Your Circle Isn’t for You
    2026/08/22

Not everyone who calls themselves a friend is truly for you.

In this episode of With Love & Purpose: Morning Coffee & Christ, we’re going deeper into friendship and talking about the relationships that look supportive on the outside but may be carrying competition, jealousy, gossip, hidden resentment, or unhealthy access underneath.

We’ll talk about the difference between a friend who corrects you in love and a person who constantly tears you down, why betrayal from someone close hurts differently, how to recognize unhealthy patterns without becoming paranoid, and why forgiveness does not always mean restored access.

And before we point fingers, we’re turning the mirror around too.

Sometimes the prayer isn’t, “God, expose the fake people around me.” Sometimes the prayer needs to be, “God, expose anything fake in me.”

    📖 Proverbs 27:6
“Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses.”

Grab your coffee, bring your Bible, and let’s talk about discernment, boundaries, healing, and becoming the kind of friend we’re asking God to send.

  • Friendships: Who’s Walking With You?
    2026/08/15

Not every friendship is assigned to every chapter—and that’s okay. 💜

In Episode 5 of With Love & Purpose: Morning Coffee & Christ, we’re having an honest conversation about friendship, growth, discernment, boundaries, accountability, comparison, and learning when to hold on—and when to let go with grace.

We’ll talk about what godly friendship really looks like, how to recognize the fruit a relationship is producing, why healthy friends should sharpen rather than constantly drain you, and the importance of becoming the kind of friend you’re praying for.

    📖 Proverbs 27:17:
“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

    Grab your coffee. ☕

  • God Is Still Writing the Story
    2026/08/08

What do you do when the chapter you're living doesn't look anything like the story you imagined?

Closed doors. Delays. Disappointment. Waiting. There are seasons when we can't understand what God is doing—but an unfinished chapter is not the end of the story.

In Episode 4 of With Love & Purpose: Morning Coffee & Christ, First Lady Shantrice Montague shares a faith-filled reminder that God doesn't waste chapters. Sometimes what feels like rejection is redirection. Sometimes what feels like a delay is preparation. And sometimes faith simply means trusting the Author when you can't see what He's writing next.

    📖 Scriptures: Philippians 1:6 & Romans 8:28

    ☕ Grab your coffee.
    📖 Bring your Bible.
    💜 Come as you are.

    Reflection Question:
What chapter of your story are you trusting God with right now?

Remember: You're not behind. You're being prepared. The story isn't over. God is still writing.
