The wise woman builds her house. The foolish woman plucks it down.

There are many other contrasts between the wise and the foolish found in the pages of Scripture. We will take a look at some of them in this episode, and then discuss how we "get" or pursue wisdom (see Proverbs 4:7).

Welcome to Wisdom for Wednesday--the podcast edition! This series started on my social media pages as short, weekly devotional videos sharing how the LORD had been working in my heart through Bible study.

In this episode, I share some thoughts from a recent session I taught at a ladies meeting in Alabama. It was designed to encourage those in attendance to trust the LORD no matter what they were facing and remind them of Who God is and some of the many things He does for us. At the time, I had no idea it was me the LORD was preparing. In His goodness, He was reminding me of all these things, knowing I would soon be facing another family crisis. Isn't God good?

The LORD knows, and He cares.

In this final episode of lessons from the life of Gideon, Crystal shares a couple of cautions to keep in mind when you "get off the sidelines" and into the spiritual battle.

First, whenever you make a decision to start growing in your walk with the LORD and trying to do more for Him, opposition will come and sometimes it even comes from within your own family and/or church family.

Second, be careful not to be lifted up in pride after a great spiritual victory. Keep the LORD in His proper place and stay humble!
