Wisconsin’s offensive line is heating up fast, with Coach Luke Fickell raving about four standout linemen—Kevin Heywood, Colin Cubberly, Stylz, and anchor Austin Kawecki—who’ve shown explosive physicality even in backup roles. Heywood, who missed most of last season, is making a massive impact; Cubberly’s grown leaps and bounds since freshman year; and Stylz, coming from Division-II, is adapting like a champ. Kawecki, the seasoned transfer at center, is the linchpin holding everything together. But there’s work to do: left tackle PJ Wilkins, despite winning the starting job, needs to step it up. The unit’s turnaround—from a shaky Notre Dame showing to a dominant rushing performance against Western Illinois—is proof they’re building something special, with QB Colton Joseph staying protected (only sacked twice, both in that opener).

The Wisconsin Badgers’ offensive line is heating up with renewed energy and physicality, showing major strides in their first two games. They’ve limited sacks—just two for Colton Joseph—and held Western Illinois to only three pressures. While the run game stumbled against Notre Dame (67 yards, 2.2 ypc), it exploded against the Leathernecks (233 yards). Coach Luke Fickell praises the unit’s grit, especially backups and newcomers like Stylz and Kevin Heywood, with Austin anchoring the front. But PJ Wilkins still needs to elevate his pass protection—improved against a weaker rush, but he’ll face tougher tests ahead. This line’s evolution could be the engine that drives the Badgers’ season.

Wisconsin Badgers eye Big Ten dominance but need to fix inconsistencies before conference play—quarterback Colton Joseph’s steady but unremarkable stats, defensive woes in forcing turnovers, and running back Abu Sama’s dazzling speed mixed with frustrating inconsistency all point to a team hungry for balance as they gear up for tougher matchups.
