This episode is brought to you by the NCRTD Blue Bus.
This Month on “Voices of Taos,” copy editor and reporter Emily Sender sits down for a conversation with Will Jaremko-Wright, Taos County agricultural/4-H extension agent and director of the Taos County Cooperative Extension Service. Will also writes the monthly column, Tierra y Comunidad.
Will and Emily talk about preparing for the Taos County Fair, and why it’s still important for kids to get involved. They also talk about how farmers, ranchers and even regular home gardeners are dealing with this year’s historically dry summer. Will also discusses how the drought is affecting everything from livestock to fruit trees, and even prairie dog populations in and around Taos.
