    On June 30, 1989 Kelle Ann Workman was mowing the Dogwood Cemetery in rural Douglas County when she disappeared. After a week of searching her body was found. While many attempts have been made to uncover the truth, The Webster County Citizen, an independent weekly paper, can be credited with keeping the case in front of the public, informing them of new leads and always demanding justice on behalf of Kelle Ann and her family.

    Today we are fortunate to be joined by the editor and publisher of the Webster County Citizen Dan Wehmer. For most of the last 36 years, Dan has been on point for every new lead and June anniversary. Now that it seems justice will finally be served, he opens up to us, offering a frank assessment of the crime, the investigation and ultimately the break that led to the arrest of Kelle Anne’s killers.
