Welcome to Wife in Bloom — the podcast for Christian women who are ready to grow in confidence, renew their mindset, and see their marriage and intimacy flourish in the way God intended. 🌸

I’m Ashley, and not too long ago I was drowning in shame, insecurity, and negative self-talk. At over 330 pounds, paralyzed by anxiety and ADHD, and hiding from life behind a smile, I believed I was broken. But God had a different plan — and through His grace, I’ve grown into a confident, healthy, faith-filled woman, a wife in bloom.

Here, we’ll talk openly and honestly about the struggles Christian wives face — from body image to intimacy, from self-worth to communication — and how faith, mindset, and practical growth can transform everything.

This isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress. It’s about taking off the labels of “not enough” and “too broken” and learning to see yourself as God sees you: loved, capable, and called.

Each week, I’ll share real stories, biblical truths, and practical steps to help you break free from shame, grow in confidence, and create a thriving marriage rooted in Christ.

Because girl, you’re not just surviving — you’re meant to bloom. 🌸

  • 4 Ways we THINK we are being a "Good Christian Wife" but are actually harming our marriage.
    2025/09/13

What if I told you that some of the very things you’ve been taught make you a “good Christian wife” are actually the things quietly keeping your marriage from growing?

In this episode of Wife in Bloom, I get real about four habits I lived for years—habits that looked holy on the outside but were damaging intimacy, growth, and connection in my marriage. And girl, I don’t want you to waste the years I did believing lies that sounded spiritual but left us stagnant.

Here’s what we’re digging into today:

🌸 Silence Isn’t Submission – Why staying quiet to “keep the peace” actually creates distance, resentment, and stagnation in your marriage.
🌸 Prayer Without Participation – How I used “I’ll just pray about it” as a spiritual excuse to avoid hard conversations and real action.
🌸 Service Without Showing Up – Why equating love with chores and checklists can leave both of you feeling unseen and disconnected.
🌸 Seasons as Excuses – How waiting for life to “slow down” is a trap that steals today’s opportunities for growth and intimacy.

We’ll talk through my stories (the good, the messy, and the lessons learned), what God’s Word actually says about these things, and most importantly—what you can start doing differently today to shift your marriage from shallow and stagnant to passionate, connected, and God-centered.

💡 By the end of this episode, you’ll see that being a good Christian wife isn’t about silence, perfection, or burning yourself out in service. It’s about showing up, speaking truth in love, choosing connection, and running toward the storms of life together—with your spouse and with God.

👉 Your challenge this week: Pick one of these four areas that hits home for you and take one small, intentional step toward your spouse today. Because the season won’t slow down, but you can still choose to show up.

If this episode encouraged you, would you do me a favor? Share it with a friend who needs to hear it, and leave a review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify—it helps so much in growing this community of wives who are choosing to bloom right where they are.

  • From Shame to Calling
    2025/09/06

In Part 2 of Episode 3, I share how a Matthew West concert turned into one of the most pivotal moments in my Wife in Bloom journey. For years I tried to keep my faith small—just “sprinkling” Jesus in—but God had other plans.

This podcast isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay. It’s for YOU—the wife who doesn’t quite fit the mold, the woman with ADHD or anxiety who feels messy but is ready for more, and the wife who longs to bless her husband while shedding shame around intimacy.

I’ll also give you a peek at what’s coming next: interviews, a private community, digital tools, and some exciting merch down the road.

If you’ve ever wrestled with shame or questioned your calling, this episode will encourage you to stop playing small and step boldly into who God created you to be.

  • Gratitude over Grumbling
    2025/08/30

What if your next family trip didn’t have to feel like chaos, stress, and one long complaint reel? In this episode, I’m sharing how one camping trip + state fair adventure could have been a total meltdown—but instead turned into a memory I’ll cherish forever—all because of mindset.

I’ll walk you through the very real moments that used to send me spiraling—forgetting things, traffic, bad weather, long lines, even a 30-minute Taco Bell run gone wrong—and how choosing excitement, gratitude, and presence over anxiety and negativity literally changed everything for me and my family.

We’ll talk about the science of neuroplasticity (your brain really can be rewired), the scriptures that prove God’s been teaching us this all along, and how the fruit of gratitude shows up in your marriage, your kids, and even your body.

If you’ve ever felt stuck in a cycle of complaining or anxiety, this is your reminder that joy is always a choice—and when you choose it, your whole reality shifts.
