In this episode of the Top Producer Podcast, I explore why simply asking clients for referrals often produces disappointing results—and why the problem isn’t necessarily asking, but how we ask.
A question like, “Do you know anyone who needs insurance?” puts the responsibility on the client to come up with a name without giving them any context. Instead, I explain why clients are far more likely to make a useful introduction when they clearly understand who you want to meet, what problems you solve, and why an introduction would make sense.
