In this episode of Mentoring Christian Men Worldwide, Tim and Christian discuss “Why can’t I look at porn?” using Psalm 101:3 and Job 31 to frame a call to refuse what is vile and to guard the eyes.
They define lust as a strong desire that can be good when directed toward one’s spouse but becomes sinful when aimed outside marriage.
The hosts argue porn fuels selfishness, harms relationships, distorts God’s design for sex, and contributes to destruction in the lives of performers and viewers, including shame and sexual dysfunction. They stress that cultural or legal acceptance does not determine righteousness but that God’s standard does.
They also compare porn use to voyeurism and heart-level adultery (Matthew 5:28).
At the end, they share testimonies of freedom through accountability, raising the goal from “quitting porn” to pursuing Christlike character and sexual integrity, and encourage men to seek help, stay in the light, and live as servants and protectors.
