Who is Worthy?

Who can be trusted with absolute authority over heaven and earth? In Revelation 5, Jeffrey Johnson points us to the only one worthy: Jesus Christ, the conquering Lion and the Lamb who was slain. As David’s promised Son, Jesus has defeated death, possesses the fullness of the Spirit’s wisdom, and rules with perfect righteousness. His worthiness calls us to trust his judgment and rejoice in his reign.
The one who holds authority to judge is also the Savior who bore God’s wrath to redeem his people. His power is joined with humility, compassion, and sacrificial love. This message invites us to lay down our bitterness, surrender our idols, and entrust ourselves to our gracious King. Heaven declares that the Lamb is worthy—and we are called to respond with our worship and our lives.
