Join me on an early morning walk, as we we descend the steep cliff path down to Tregonhawke beach, Whitsand Bay, South East Cornwall
Before anyone stirs, we quietly pass by the small, wooden, cliff top chalets, winding our way through the gorse and heather-lined path to reach the top of the steep steps, from where we can admire the vast expanse of blue sea stretched out before us and peer down to roofs of the lifeguard station and the empty Eddystone beach cafe and holiday let.
We catch our first glimpse of the sun hitting the small stretch of sand at Tregonhawke beach. The tide is in and we can can hear the waves below.
Once on the beach, we find a sturdy rock to sit on by the waters edge, and look out to see what we can see. We are the first there so have it all to ourselves, along with the wildlife.
