What happens when a woman who has spent years telling everyone else's stories gets the chance to tell her own?

In this episode, I sit down with my friend Whitley Adkins of The Queen City Style for a conversation about personal style, entrepreneurship, creativity, community, and finding your way home.

Whitley's story begins in Asheville and Eastern North Carolina, where her grandmother and great-grandmother helped shape her early love of fashion. From there, she found her way to New York City, built a career in the fashion world, and eventually returned to North Carolina to make Charlotte home.

We talk about starting The Queen City Style, building a 15-year career, the people and creative relationships that helped shape her along the way, and what it means to keep evolving while staying authentically yourself. We also go behind the scenes of fashion photography, talk about her work with Richard Israel, and celebrate the 10th edition of SouthPark Magazine's The IT List.

And then, of course, we open her closet.

Because the pieces we keep are rarely just pieces. They hold memories, relationships, places we've been, people we've loved, and versions of ourselves we don't want to forget.
