Jeph Jerman is a sound artist active since the early ’80s, known for his early work as HANDS TO, as well as groups such as CITY OF WORMS and BLOWHOLE, and now recording and performing under his own name. Jeph works with rough, raw, organic sounds - both played and captured - to create deeply penetrative work that defies easy categorization.

In this conversation, we talk about his early experiments with body sounds, his approach to recording and degradation, the importance of listening and attention, field recording, improvisation, and the evolution of his practice over more than four decades.

Gary Mundy is a pioneer of the UK power electronics and noise underground since the early 1980s through his work with RAMLEH and the legendary label Broken Flag.
