Please, if I could have a moment..

#WhenEarthStoodStill is my idea of remembrance for everybody sharing their thoughts about 9/11 on this 25th Anniversary of that fateful day. I hope we'll have greater lucidity about that day, and through this we can remember the victims more thoroughly as we're all truly transported back to that moment.. when Earth stood still.

I'll start. Then you go.

I was at East Junior High in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin..

The school had recently placed new televisions in every classroom, with cable hooked up. Strange timing.. because then, this craziness happened.. and the school day was canceled.. all we did for the rest of each class was watch the news.. I remember reporters pondering whether it was an accident.. that a pilot could run a plane into a massive tower like that.. 'these idiots..' I thought.. I knew exactly what this was.. and I WAS SO MAD! ..then we all watched as the second plane hit.. 'JESUS! WHAT IS HAPPENING!?'

What do I do? 'I'm not old enough to fight.. but I want to!'

It took four years, but I finally got my chance.. on the four year anniversary, 9/11/2005 I shipped out to San Antonio, TX to Lackland AFB for Basic Training in the US Air Force. I would probably not have joined the military if it weren't for all those people who lost their lives on that tragic day.

It's been one wild experience after another since.. and I just hope and pray we all unite a bit more, love a bit more, stand up for what's RIGHT a bit more.. because we remember..

Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. We remember 9/11 - and more importantly, we remember all the lives lost on that day and in subsequent retaliatory conflicts.. May your memories be a blessing.

I hope you all will take time to look at the drone show that was put on display at the site of the Twin Towers! This is a skyline that hasn’t been seen in 25 years and yet it was revived with the same amount of drone lights as the amount of victims that were taken on that day.
