We tell our kids to trust their gut, speak up, and tell us when something doesn’t feel right. But what happens when they actually do?
In this episode, I’m talking about one of the hardest parts of parenting: knowing the difference between normal discomfort your child needs to work through and a situation where they genuinely need you to listen and step in.
How do we teach resilience without accidentally teaching our kids to ignore their own instincts? And when your child’s behavior suddenly changes, how much should you trust what your own gut is telling you?
There’s no perfect parenting handbook for these moments. Sometimes all we can do is listen, ask questions, look at the whole child, and make the best decision we can.
Because maybe raising confident kids isn’t just about teaching them to push through hard things. Maybe it’s also about teaching them that their voice matters—and when they use it, someone will listen.
