Have you ever been doing everything you can to follow God, yet life still feels dark? In 1 Nephi 8:5–8, Lehi follows a heavenly messenger—and unexpectedly finds himself in a dark and dreary wilderness for many hours. He wasn't there because he had abandoned God. He encountered darkness while following the path before him. Lehi's experience teaches us an important truth: God's silence is not the same as God's absence. Sometimes answers take longer than we hoped. Sometimes the path isn't clear. Sometimes faithful disciples walk through seasons of uncertainty, sorrow, and waiting. But darkness does not mean the Lord has lost sight of us. Like Lehi, we can continue praying and trusting in God's tender mercies even before we see the light. Because of Jesus Christ, darkness never gets the final word. Scripture: 1 Nephi 8:5–8 If this message resonated with you, share a time when God eventually brought light into a difficult season of your life. Most importantly, remember: The Lord is aware of you. He loves you. And He will guide you through your wilderness. Until next time, keep holding to the iron rod. And remember—when all else fails, pray... and take a nap.
