Sometimes life doesn't create the pattern. It interrupts it long enough for us to see what had already become familiar.
In this reflection, I explore what happens when an experience changes the conditions through which we have learned to know ourselves, and identity not as something wrong that needs to be transcended, but as something continually taking form through memory, relationship, attention, value, responsibility, and repeated practice.
