Send a Prayer or Prayer Request

Why does healing feel immediate for some people and painfully slow for others? We name the question out loud and refuse the easy answers, then walk straight through the Scriptures that complicate our favorite healing narratives. I’m Mark John, and I’m laying out multiple reasons people may not see healing right away, not to discourage you, but to help you pray with clarity and stay anchored when your body or your heart is worn out.

We talk about Paul’s thorn in the flesh and God’s surprising response: “My grace is sufficient for thee.” We sit with the uncomfortable possibility that God sometimes shows His power by sustaining us in weakness instead of removing the pain on demand. Then we turn to Lazarus and the tension of delayed healing when Jesus intentionally waits, reminding us that delay is not denial, even when it feels personal.

From there we zoom out to the bigger theology of suffering and bodily healing: we live in a fallen, mortal creation that groans, and complete restoration is ultimately tied to resurrection. We also look at faithful believers like Trophimus, Timothy, and Epaphroditus, asking why some people receive dramatic miracles while others receive practical instruction, endurance, or healing later. We address when sin can be connected to sickness or consequences, how confession and prayer belong together, and how faith matters without turning someone’s illness into a blame game.

If you need prayer, we share how to reach us, and we close by praying for healing in God’s time and God’s way while giving Him all the credit. Subscribe, share this with someone who’s waiting on an answer, and leave a review with what you want us to unpack next.
