What do we do when God's will just is not clear? That question sits at the heart of this message, and the answer might surprise us. Rather than offering a neat formula or a step-by-step guide, this teaching walks us through three very real experiences we all encounter on the journey of faith: open doors, closed doors, and frustrated plans.
Using the calling of the disciples in Matthew 4 as a launching point, we are reminded that an open door is not a promise of an easy road. The disciples said yes to the greatest invitation in history and walked straight into storms, rejection, and danger. Yet Jesus was with them every step of the way. That same truth applies to us. The open doors in our lives, whether a new relationship, a new calling, or a step of obedience, do not guarantee smooth paths. They guarantee his presence.
This message challenges us to stop equating difficulty with being outside of God's will, and instead to recognize that resistance is often part of the journey, not a sign we took a wrong turn.
