What happens when we say we’ve given something to God, but then turn around and try to take it back?
In this week’s episode of Still Figuring It Out, Josh and Britt talk about worry, control, God’s timing, and what it really means to trust Him. After realizing that last week’s podcast about worry lined up almost perfectly with the following week’s Sunday school lesson, they reflect on how God has a way of connecting the dots in our lives and reminding us of what we need to hear.
From wanting everything on our own timeline to struggling to let go of things we can’t control, Josh and Britt have an honest conversation about surrendering our plans to God. They also talk about the importance of having Christian friends who will encourage us, challenge us, and hold us accountable when we need it.
Maybe we don’t always need to understand the entire plan. Maybe we just need to trust God with the next step.
Proverbs 16:9 says, “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.”
We’re still figuring it out, but we’re learning that we don’t have to figure it all out alone.
