What happens when an injury ends your career, and you never got to make the decision to walk away?

We love a good comeback story. But what about the athlete who never competes again? The Marine who’s medically discharged? The firefighter who can no longer serve? Or the guy who spent 25 years building a career, only to have it taken away?

Brock has nearly 10 years working in sport psychology and the mental health space, he discusses that sometimes the hardest part isn’t the physical injury or losing the job. It’s losing your identity, your purpose, and the future you thought you were going to have.

In this episode of GRYD: The Mindset Podcast, Brock discusses the psychological impact of career-ending injuries, forced retirement, traumatic brain injuries, grief, and rebuilding your identity after an unexpected loss.

Your WHAT can change without your WHY having to change.

You didn’t quit. Life made a decision for you. Now what?
